We had 18 juniors in action at Wythenshawe Sports Ground this weekend.  We managed to field full teams in four age categories, despite illness and conflicting events claiming a few of our athletes.

A mention must go to Aisling McHale who continues to rise up the ranks in this event, managing a brilliant 2nd place in the U13 girls.  Only one more place to go!

In the U11 girls, Holly Newton was again well in contention, this time coming home in 6th.  Charlotte Stansfield (24th), Thea Prattley (36th) and Ella Farquhar (49th) also competed.  This brought the team home in 6th.

The U11 boys also did well in finishing 8th.  Will Johnson (15th), Cameron Scott (35th), Dominic Gibson (46th) and Dylan Hanrahan (49th) making up the Altrincham team.

For the first time in a long time we completed an U13 boys team with Angus Morris (57th), Sam Fogarty (60th) and Louis Tranter (61st) the trio that came home as 15th team.

The U13 girls were our highest placed team of the day in 4th with Aisling’s 2nd place supported by Esme Pearson (16th), Beth Robinson (25th), Kate Fitzgerald (56th) and Hannah Gregg (79th).

We also had two U15 boys running in Thomas Egan (32nd) and Tom Pavey (46th).

Just the Christmas Handicap to go in 2017.  Then we’re on to the County Championships in the new year.
