Timperley Track

Our facilities include a seven lane cinder track, six lane 110m tartan sprint & hurdles track, tartan long, triple and high jump, tartan javelin run ups, throwing cage for discus and hammer and circle and quadrant for shot putt. Inside our perimeter fence we have a grass trail and club house, including toilets and showers.

Our Track and grass trail has flood lighting allowing us to train in safety all year round.

Our Club celebrated its 50 year anniversary in 2011 and throughout its colourful history it can claim a number of County, Regional, National and International athletes amonst its membership.

Membership is open to Juniors (classed as being in full time education) for a fee of £25 per year, and Seniors at £45 per year. Membership is due for renewal on 1st April each year. Awards are presented annually, junior track & field awards in December following our Christmas Cross Country Handicaps in John Leigh Park and senior awards are made at the AGM in April.

Information on our coaches can be found on the ‘Training’ pages of this website, our newsletter ‘Pawprints’ is also available from this website for download click here.

The club operates a Child Welfare Policy, a copy of which can be obtained from the track on training nights. Parent/ Guardians are requested to complete a consent form and provide details for their children and emergency contact numbers on attending the first training session, all of our coaches are qualified to at least UK Athletics level 1 and have all undergone CRB checks to obtain coaching licenses.

In March 2009 Altrincham & District Athletic Club was awarded the ‘Club Mark’ accreditation further demonstrating the commitment of club to encouraging development of athletics.
